(BCAM) is a non-profit, charitable organization directed by women who have been sensitized to the trauma of breast cancer and who are committed to advocating for policies that will decrease the amount of toxins in the environment and allocate more research money for primary prevention – finding the environmental causes of breast cancer.

The focus of breast cancer research must move beyond its current emphasis on treatment to also embrace a serious search for the causes of the disease and its prevention. BCAM promotes and supports the adoption of the Precautionary Principle as a guideline for action. The Precautionary Principle is a safety-first premise that states that, when there are reasonable scientific grounds for believing a process or product may not be safe, even when cause-and-effect relationships are not fully understood, preventive action must be taken.

Par le biais de conférences, de débats et de séminaires, nous visons à informer le public sur les nombreuses controverses associées au cancer du sein.

Les représentantes d'ACSM s'impliquent dans les groupes communautaires en offrant une formation sur la santé du sein lors d'ateliers, en parlant de leur expérience personnelle et en participant à des conférences sur la santé publique.

Nos interventions publiques visent à inciter les politiciens, les décisionnaires et les compagnies pharmaceutiques à allouer une plus grande part du budget de la recherche à la prévention primaire; nous appuyons également les initiatives publiques ayant pour but de réduire la pollution environnementale.
